Slab-Jack Kings raised, levelled and stabilized the area so that the asphalt patching could be removed and so that the sidewalk would now be flush with the entrance slab. The wheelchair access ramp has been officially restored! In and out in 1 hour before doors were even opened to the public. Another job well-done!

This job was completed from start to finish in less than 1 hour total, which is why polyurethane concrete lifting is always a better option as opposed to removal and replacement. Especially when it comes to public spaces and commercial buildings.

Sidewalk Void Fill: before, during and after!

sidewalk void fill before slab-jack kings

Concrete isn’t indestructible. When it has nothing to support it, it breaks. Unstable soils will provoke large voids and eventually, settlement.

Void filling beneath concrete slabs BEFORE it becomes an even worse issue is the best route to take to give your concrete the support it needs.

Now all that needs to happen is for the property owner to raise their grade up so that the foam has no ultraviolet ray exposure and so that any water drains down and away from the concrete.

Over time, Manitoba sub-bases unfortunately heave, thaw and settle, and sometimes it even happens much too fast for your concrete. Instead of ripping out your concrete and spending loads of hard-earned money and patience for days to come while waiting for a redo, contact Slab-Jack Kings for a free consultation and estimate. In most situations, we are able to better support and repair your concrete in less than an hour or two. Once the dime-sized injection holes are patched, and you can start your post-lift maintenance and use your concrete immediately. It’s like you never had a concrete issue in the first place once we’re gone!

My Driveway is Sinking! What Next?

My Driveway is Sinking! What Next?

Concrete isn’t indestructible. When it has nothing to support it, it settles, cracks, breaks and gives up. Unstable soils will provoke large voids and eventually, settlement.

Slab-Jack Kings raised, levelled and stabilized this driveway/sidewalk combo back up by an average of 4.5 inches! Now the sidewalk and driveway are back up to their original pour height levels.

My driveway is cracking! What should I do?

My driveway is cracking! What should I do?
If you’ve been noticing cracks forming on the surface of your concrete, there could most definitely be voids forming beneath it as well. This could be a driveway, sidewalk, patio, interior floor, garage floor, and pretty much any other slab-on-grade, poured concrete surface.

Your Concrete Is Stressed Out

Once your concrete slab has nothing to sit on, it begins to “stress out,” settle, crack, and will eventually break because there is nothing directly supporting the slab. This can become quite dangerous and costly when it comes to the concrete in and around your home.

Be Supportive!

Our concrete lifting, levelling, void filling and stabilizing foams are some of the lightest materials to lift, void fill and stabilize concrete with. This means we won’t be adding any unnecessary amounts of weight to the already unstable area; however, our foams will also help with water and critter infiltration in order to stabilize the soils beneath and prevent it from settling (again) in the future.
