Before:

This East Saint Paul homeowner was experiencing significant settlement at their garage approach, with the concrete slab dropping by approximately 2 inches. This resulted in an uneven approach and pooling water, causing safety concerns and diminishing curb appeal.

Project Objectives:

After a detailed site inspection, our team identified the need for concrete lifting—particularly near the decorative border and right side of the garage. If necessary, saw cutting would be used to facilitate proper slab movement.

To resolve the issue, we used polyurethane foam injection. Small, strategic holes were drilled through the slab and specialized injection ports installed. Expanding polyurethane foam was then injected beneath the slab, rapidly filling existing voids and compacting the underlying soils. As the foam expanded, it gently lifted the driveway in a controlled, gradual manner back to the original pour height elevations.

The drilled holes were patched using high-quality material to closely match the existing concrete.
